Meet your Labour/Co-op PPCs

April 14 2010

A record number of 42 Labour/Co-op candidates were in place to contest the general election as this edition went to press. The line-up includes 22 MPs from the last Parliament and 20 new PPCs.

However the list — which was compiled with the assistance of the Co-op Party — does not include Co-op Party members who are standing as Labour candidates; nor does it include co-operators seeking election for other parties.

For constituencies in England and Wales the ‘majority’ listed is the notional majority and takes into account boundary changes since the 2005 election. In Scottish seats, the figures refer to the actual result five years ago as the boundary changes north of the border preceded the last general election.
